MUSIC VIDEOS
Yes, we love music and we love emerging artists. With that in mind, we've developed a package that is suitable for artists without unlimited budgets. Having said that, we have assembled our package to be both affordable (and we do recognize that not every artist will be able to afford our services) and still enable us to deliver a great-looking product.
The following pricing is based upon the following factors:
- consultation with the artist(s) in relation to the goals of the production;
- script development, storyboarding and approval by the artist(s);
- preproduction (primarily relating to music rendering in light of any special effects – such as slow motion - to be employed in the production);
- securing of necessary on-screen talent (up to three professional actors);
- location filming within the "Greater Vancouver Tax Zone" (think Greater Vancouver);
- up to two days filming "on location";
- edit of material into "rough cut" in accordance with the agreed goals of the artist(s);
- conference with the artist(s) for approval of rough cut of materials; and
- final edit, rendering and delivery of deliverables to the artist(s) (one rendered production up to five minutes in length).
Based on the foregoing, our charge for delivery of one music video (exclusive of applicable federal or provincial taxes) is $11,000.
The above pricing is well below "market", but if you are a starving artist, you may still be wondering why it's so expensive? We have found that the creative process relating to new artists demands greater time and creative effort than in other areas of production. In short, we recognize how important a video like this will be for the artist and we need to meet the goals of the artist and get it right – to the artist's vision. We have thus recognized the additional time we need to put into the project to get it right.
We want the artists to be delighted with what we produce for them. And when they make it "big", we want them to remember us as having contributed in a small way to their success.
