Brian L. Child
Producer, Creative Director
Brian is the heart and soul behind DahopaFilms. A lawyer by profession, Brian started out in the film business writing various scripts and treatments at the request of others. He soon realized that he wanted to get into the film business to facilitate his own projects. He has experience writing, producing, directing, lighting, editing and camera operating (including steadicam and jib operation) on numerous feature and short films, a pilot for a major U.S. cable network, music videos, corporate videos, actor's reels and a documentary.
Brian enjoys the business of film production. It is something he does because he wants to - not because he has to - and he enjoys surrounding himself with talented, creative people who help to drive a project to a creative, successful completion.
Andréa Vawda
Associate Producer/Production Manager/Host/Interviewer
We first met Andréa as a result of her appearing in one of our productions. As we came to appreciate Andréa's multi-dimensional skills, we were particularly impressed with her keen organizational abilities and interest in the business in addition to her on-screen talents. As the most recent addition to the DahopaFilms family, Andréa performs an important role in all of our productions and is a key liaison with our clients.
Cody McDonald
Director of Photography, Editor
Cody is a very talented "young guy" with great experience. Cody became integral to early DahopaFilms productions as a camera operator. As his experience quickly grew, it soon became apparent that Cody would be a valuable and talented addition to our team. Aside from his work with DahopaFilms, Cody has worked on many small– and medium– budget films and on his own productions.
Mischa Haman-Dass
Director of Photography, Sound Engineer, Editor
Mischa is another truly talented "young guy" with a keen eye for great shots. Mischa started out with DahopaFilms as a sound and boom operator and it soon became clear that his talents extended far beyond that. With a background in both still and video photography, Mischa brings a wealth of creative talent to our productions. Aside from Mischa's work with DahopaFilms, he has worked on several low- and medium-budget feature films and many medium- and high-budget commercials and music videos.
Lacey Lee Elliott
Host/Interviewer
Lacey came to DahopaFilms as a result of acting in one of our productions. As Lacey is also a co-host of Driving Television (http://drivingtv.canada.com/), we are envious that she has driven more great cars than all the rest of us put together. An actor, dancer, musician and former cheerleader and beauty pageant contestant, Lacey provides DahopaFilms' clients with professional, intelligent and enjoyable on-camera interviews. Her positive attitude is also infectious.
